ABOUT OLFU

Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) has gone a long way as far as quality and excellent education is concerned.  The men and women of OLFU worked so hard to achieve the respect the university is getting from many people and other institutions.

OLFU was established in 1967 and it has become one of the most respected and admired education institutions in the country today particularly in the field of paramedical programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physical and Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy among others and non-paramedical programs like Hotel and Restaurant Management, Travel Management, Computer Studies, Maritime Education, Criminology, Business and Accountancy, Education, to mention a few.  Currently, OLFU also offers different programs under its Graduate School and Basic Education Department.

COLLEGE OF MEDICINE

The OLFU College of Medicine is one of the Philippine’s most distinguished centers for medical education. Constantly responding to the rapid changes in science, technology and the social environment, OLFU fulfils its commitment to produce competence, world-class medical practitioners.

It strives to create the best environment for students to master the principles and theories of medicine and obtain sufficient knowledge and experience to launch into a successful practice.

It’s the first and only Philippine medical school to have an institutional clerkship program with a foreign hospital. In fact, the University has sent over 100 medical students for clerkship training at the Brooklyn Medical Center and Peninsula Hospital in New York and Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago. Thus, creating career opportunities abroad for young men and women.

In its almost more than 40 years of existence, OLFU has graduated more than 70,000 medical and allied medical health practitioners from all disciplines. Proof that makes OLFU a valuable contributor in the development of the medical and paramedical professions in the Philippines and abroad.

The OLFU College of Medicine is housed in five buildings where you’ll find the school’s lecture halls, seminar and conference rooms, research and teaching laboratories, classrooms, amphitheatre, library facilities with audio-visual monitors, and administrative offices of the departments.

ABOUT THE CAMPUS

The main campus is located in Valenzuela City, on the outskirts of Metropolitan Manila.  Highly charged and steaming with activity, the main campus in Valenzuela City houses the College of Medicine Building and the St. Martin de Porres Building where the College of Dentistry and College of Business and Accountancy are situated.  Also situated in Valenzuela is the Fatima University Medical Center that is a partner institution for the College of Medicine.

Another cluster of Valenzuela Campus buildings are in the vicinity of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima.  This location houses the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management, College of Maritime Education and Basic Education Department.

Valenzuela Campus has easy access t downtown Manila and metro Quezon City.  Bus and taxi commutes are easy and numerous.  The metro train terminals (Light Railway Transit : Northwest to Southwest and Metro Rail Transit : North to South) are only 15 to 25 minutes ride from the campus.

Valenzuela City Campus exclusively houses the College of Medicine, College of Dentistry and College of Maritime Education.
